General Laborer Location:

Arlington, MN Available Shifts 1st Shift-Monday through Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM 2nd Shift - Monday through Thursday 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM Data Metalcraft is looking to add a General Laborer to our team! Data Metalcraft is a manufacturer of formed sheet metal and welded cabinets used in fiber communications, power grids, and industrial products. Our products utilize a broad range of materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel. Work Conditions The General Operator will be working with a variety of cutting & finishing operations, on a variety of materials The General Laborer will also be utilizing miscellaneous small tools depending on job Requires your physical strength and endurance (manual labor) The normal shifts for 1st shift are 8 hours long, Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, plus overtime as needed The normal shifts for 2nd shift are 10 hours long, Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, plus overtime as needed Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, crouching Best Candidates Will Possess These Skills High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Must work at a fast pace with strict deadlines Ability to read blue prints Must possess a strong work ethic and demonstrate themselves as a strong team player that cares about the quality of their work Must be able to come to work on-time and prepared to do their job Has at least 3 years of experience as general labor, operator, in a production/manufacturing environment Possess basic math skills, understands units of measurement Ability to adapt and be flexible to an ever-changing work environment Have positive, collaborative attitude with a willingness to learn new equipment and processes Key Responsibilities Responsible for setting up and operating a variety of tools and equipment according to written and/or verbal instructions, established company procedures, safety and quality guidelines. The applicant should have good understanding of performing the following duties personally or through assistant personnel. Receives job assignments & priorities from supervisor. Reads job order to understand requirements of the Job and verify quantity to be produced Sets up equipment according to established company guidelines, safety and job requirements Completes production run including overruns and production samples Completes required inspections and documents the quality approval Ensure quality of job throughout run, including adjusting of equipment Respond to revised priorities and perform well under tight deadlines Responsible for the tear-down, clean-up and setting-up of Jobs Complete other duties as assigned
