Job Description
Perform a variety of tasks that will include receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, organizing and maintaining an accurate inventory in the warehouse. Duties and responsibilities Assist shipping and receiving, unloading/loading trucks, and checking in merchandise Work directly with vendors and manufacturers to quickly resolve issues related to purchase orders, products, and receiving inbound merchandise. Prepare consumer orders by processing pick tickets; pulling product; packing boxes; placing orders in shipping area. Process shipments through computer system. Sort and place items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards Open packages, pallets/crates and other containers. Process all inbound orders/product through computer system Review consumer orders that are eligible for shipment, determine most efficient and cost effective means for order fulfillment, and process credit card payments as needed. Build/shrink wrap pallets with cartons/boxes for outbound LTL shipments Shop LTL rates with freight broker for most cost effective transportation and schedule bill of lading for inbound/outbound pallets to and from our Corcoran facility. Also, assist with rate shopping and LTL scheduling for Streicher's other locations (Plymouth, MN and Butler, WI). Assist in counting of physical inventory Run and operate engraving machine for production of metal nameplates. Paint, clean/finish, quality check, and package nameplates for shipping. Occasionally operate forklift for loading/unloading trucks and moving inventory within building. Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust, vacuum, and mop daily. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times Qualification requirements High School diploma or equivalent 1-2 yrs previous warehouse experience preferred Good communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills Dependable and Reliable Inventory, data entry, and computer skills required Solid computing and communication skills a must Physical demands and abilities Regularly required to use hands and body to lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 lbs.
