Job Title:
Warehouse Worker Job Description This entry-level Warehouse Worker role focuses on supporting day-to-day logistics operations, including picking and preparing orders for shipment, labeling products, and performing basic quality inspections. You will handle both incoming and outgoing materials, assist with assembly tasks, and work closely with a growing team in a clean, well-maintained production facility. Responsibilities Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently and prepare them for shipment. Label products and packages correctly prior to shipping to ensure proper identification and tracking. Perform basic quality inspections on finished products before shipment to verify accuracy and condition. Unpackage incoming freight, verify contents, and check items into the inventory system. Assist with order picking and staging materials for production and shipping as needed. Assemble hoses and tubes for military-related projects following provided instructions and quality standards. Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, and forklifts if trained and authorized. Use RF scanner guns and inventory software to track, locate, and update stock information. Support material handling activities including loading, unloading, and moving products throughout the facility. Perform cycle counts and assist with general inventory control tasks to maintain accurate stock levels. Use basic measuring tools, such as a tape measure, to verify product dimensions when required. Help wherever needed in the warehouse and production areas to support overall team productivity. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work in a warehouse or production environment and assist with a variety of tasks as needed. Comfort with order picking, packaging, and preparing products for shipment. Ability to perform basic quality checks on products and packaging. Willingness to unpackage incoming freight and accurately check items into the system. Capability to assist with assembling hoses and tubes following instructions and quality guidelines. Basic familiarity with warehouse operations such as material handling, loading, and picking. Ability to learn and use RF scanner guns and inventory software. Ability to use a tape measure or willingness to learn. Reliability, attention to detail, and strong teamwork skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous forklift experience is a plus. Experience using a tape measure to verify dimensions is preferred. Prior experience with reach trucks, cherry pickers, or other warehouse equipment is beneficial. The operation continues to invest in new equipment, supporting efficient and modern warehouse and production processes. The role is on a first-shift schedule, typically from 9:30am to 6pm., providing consistent daytime hours in a structured warehouse environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeville, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.75 - $22.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
