Job Description
Distribution Center Loaders are responsible for efficiently loading and unloading products into and from dry van trailers including flatbeds. This position will be scheduled work hours generally between 3:00 P.M. and 1:00 A.M. - 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday). Occasional hours may be required on Friday and/or Saturday during peak times.
Pay Range:
$17.00 to $19.00 per hourESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Loading & unloading of trailers, including flatbeds Maintain proper trailer weight distribution while maximizing trailer cubes/space Perform piece counts to verify accuracy Scan merchandise into inventory using scanning equipment. Scan product and pallets to truck Id's in an accurate manner. Print price tags and price merchandise accordingly. Break down merchandise into smaller quantities for shipping to retail locations. Assist with floor loaded shipments, both inbound and outbound. Responsible for accurate allocation of quantities. Submit packing slips and freight bills as necessary. Cross check quantities to packing slip, making necessary notations when needed. Load merchandise onto proper pallet, shrink wrap when necessary. Properly secure shipments to prevent product and trailer damage. Practice safety in the workplace by using safe work habits with a safety-first mindset.OTHER DUTIES
Other duties as assigned for facility operation and deadline needs. May require travel to assist in other facilities or training.MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Computer skills required. Forklift experience required. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds Long periods of standing & sitting Frequent bending and twistingEDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Prior warehouse experience preferred. Prior Forklift experience required. 1 year prior shipping and receiving experience preferred.WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
