•This position requires the ability to commute between Northfield and Lakeville, MN dependent on workflow needs

•2nd shift Fabrication M-TH 2:15pm -12:45a + shift differential Grind and blend weld joints to create a smooth, seamless look. Remove imperfections like burrs, sharp edges, rust, and scratches from metal surfaces. Select the correct tools and abrasives (like sandpaper or grinding wheels) for mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Apply specific finishes such as satin, grained, brushed, or mirror polishes. Inspect finished parts carefully to ensure they match blueprints and quality standards. Maintain equipment by cleaning and doing basic safety checks on your tools daily. 2nd shift Assembly M-TH 4:15pm -2:45a + shift differential Interpret mechanical blueprints to assembly specifications. Use hand and power tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other measuring instruments to verify parts meet blueprint specifications Join metal parts and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rivets, bolts, or fasteners according to blueprint instruments Maintain tight tolerances and precise fits, especially for parts requiring exact dimensional accuracy. Ability to lift materials (specify weight, e.g., up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks with manual dexterity. Skills and Experience 2+ years of metal finishing or assembly experience in a manufacturing shop.
