Yard Person

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and energetic Yard Person to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient yard environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure smooth operations related to warehouse distribution, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment handling. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with various types of heavy machinery and contribute to the seamless flow of materials in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as Kubota trackers, skid loader and pallet jacks, to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently. Assist with shrink wrap removal. Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods while adhering to safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized yard area, including keeping shop trucks clean and managing storage areas. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and yard infrastructure to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. Keep boat's, pontoons or trailers ready for mechanics when needed. Support parts & service counter when needed. Qualifications Proven experience in towing and backing up trailers. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as skid loader, forklifts, pallet jacks, and load/unload machinery safely. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance is highly desirable. Strong communication skills. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and stand for extended periods. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and order accuracy.
