ROLE PURPOSE

Material Handler organizes, moves, locates, and maintains our stone inventory.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Receive/Sign for deliveries Barcode material and products Unload slabs from delivery trucks with overhead cranes Move slabs within the warehouse to keep production moving. Move slabs for customer viewing. Photograph and Log slabs into the computer using SlabSmith software. Categorize and organize slab remnants both inside and outside. Forklift experience necessary for moving A-Frames and unloading deliveries. Move cut pieces to designated areas. Keep tools and products organized. Assist with inventory scans.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience in the stone industry and knowledge on how to move/lift stone is preferred Applied knowledge in general construction Good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with teammates and clients Ability to handle varying workloads and perform under pressure
