Job Description

Job Overview The Material handler position is a physically demanding role which requires long hours of standing, bending, and heavy lifting. This person must be able to operate the company's electric pallet lifts and hoist system to assist in loading or moving materials and products to the required destination. The function of the material handler is to maintain predetermined stock levels at all workstations and support production by filling in at other workstations as needed.

A Day In The Life Work independently or with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency Assure that all products meet the highest standard or quality Perform pre-inspection of materials to ensure proper inventory levels Follow all safety rules and ISO requirements Assure that materials stocked at workstations match the production specification sheet Adhere to all company rules and policies Keep work areas clean and organized Ensure that work practices are in the guidelines of OSHA standards Must have an understanding of measurements using standard and metric measuring devices Use pallet jacks and forklifts to stock products and materials at the appropriate locations Have the ability to operate a hoist properly and safely Distribution of insulated cores to winders as per supervisor's instruction Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Must be able to set up winding machine, understand settings & functions, and ensure machine is running properly to avoid unnecessary down time Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection of cores and materials. Perform Total Preventive Maintenance duties.
