$13 Job Summary Express Employment Professionals is hiring General Laborers to support the maintenance, repair, and improvement of public infrastructure and facilities. This position involves a variety of outdoor manual labor tasks, including maintaining streets, drainage systems, parks, and other public areas. Candidates must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions. Job Duties Assist with the maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, loading/unloading materials, and cleaning work sites Operate basic hand and power tools such as shovels, rakes, drills, and other equipment Assist with installing and repairing signs, guardrails, and other public fixtures Maintain parks, grounds, and public spaces by mowing, trimming, and removing debris Support waste collection and disposal activities as needed Set up traffic control devices, including safety cones and barricades Perform basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Clear background check and drug screen required Previous general labor, construction, or outdoor work experience is a plus, but not required Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work Basic knowledge of hand and power tools Valid driver's license preferred (CDL may be required depending on assignment) Skills Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to follow instructions and work effectively on a team Good physical stamina and coordination Safety-minded with attention to detail Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Work Environment Outdoor work with frequent exposure to heat, cold, rain, and noise Regular lifting, bending, walking, and repetitive physical activity May require early morning shifts, overtime, or emergency response work as needed #2606MS
