Job Description

Seemann Composites, LLC was founded on its research and development with composite fabrication processes and revolutionized the composites industry with the invention of SCRIMP (Resin Infusion Molding Process). We are recognized as a world leader in composites manufacturing, providing state of the art composite and polymer solutions. As a critical supplier to the United States Navy, we develop and manufacture specialized products in support of the submarine fleet programs as well as new construction and fleet maintenance. The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely movement, storage, and distribution of materials throughout the facility. This role supports production and warehouse operations by ensuring materials are properly received, staged, issued, and documented to meet operational needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (the following list is NOT in full, but considered to be a reasonable example) Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders. Safely transport materials to designated storage or production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or carts. Stage materials for production according to work orders and schedules. Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory management systems. Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories as required. Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and protected from damage. Load and unload trucks in accordance with safety procedures. Return unused materials to inventory and update records accordingly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards. Communicate material shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervisors. Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist other departments as needed.

Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling role preferred. Forklift certification or ability to become certified. Basic math skills and ability to read work orders, labels, and inventory documentation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Essential Physical Requirement:
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Ability to operate material handling equipment safely. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
