Our team produces and sets millions of oysters each season that are deployed into the Gulf of Mexico to rebuild reefs, improve water quality, and strengthen coastal ecosystems. Every oyster we raise helps filter the water and protect our shoreline — and our operations team is critical to making that happen. We are currently seeking a Yard Worker to support daily hatchery and deployment activities. This is a hands-on, equipment-focused role for individuals who enjoy physical work, operating machinery, and being part of a hardworking team that gets things done. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts daily to move materials, media, and equipment Fill super sacks with culture media for larval setting operations Load and fill setting tanks with cultch Monitor and maintain proper water levels throughout the facility Assist with deployment preparation and support activities Perform general groundskeeping and facility upkeep Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs as needed Qualifications Required Demonstrated forklift operating experience Ability to work safely in an outdoor, physically active environment Strong work ethic and reliability Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude Preferred Excavator or heavy equipment experience Basic electrical and plumbing maintenance skills Previous aquaculture, marine, agricultural, or industrial yard experience Schedule & Work Environment Combination of day and night shifts Night work required during seasonal deployment periods Outdoor, industrial, and marine facility setting Physical labor including lifting, loading, and equipment operation
