As a Material Handler , you will receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within the plant floor areas.

What You'll Do:

Observes and follows all safety rules Must be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints Audit production parts to maintain adequate stock to fulfill production needs Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce a close fit between parts Operates hand tools or portable power tools to assist in the assembly operation May be required to work at different stations as production needs warrant Operate overhead hoist to maneuver material Operate forklift to move products throughout the plant Operate hand tools to assemble products Operate power pallet jacks throughout the plant Operate manual pallet jacks throughout the plant Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

High school diploma or GED is required and 3 months of related experience and/or training. Must be able to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, motorized pallet jacks, or manual pallet jacks Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers
