Warehouse Associate Overview:

National Design Mart/National Carpet Mill Outlet's Warehouse Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all customers and installers. This role includes loading/picking materials and maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse. Inventory control, product knowledge, and organization skills are all components of this position. A strong belief in the company's vision and the ability to execute its core values is necessary. Responsibilities Warehouse Activities (60%) Greet and assist customers and installers Load product into vehicles, prepare loads to be delivered, stocks merchandise Provide excellent customer service to customers and to fellow staff members. Inventory Management (30%) Verify quantity received and label product as received in the system. Manage material; staging and stacking. Assist in resolving overages and shortages. Tag RA numbers on material being returned from the job and/or being shipped back to vendor. Knowledge & Training (10%) Identify personal growth needs and improvement opportunities; seek to obtain product knowledge. Suggest processes to improve operational efficiencies. Requirements Previous experience in a customer service environment. Familiarity with flooring materials and cabinets preferred. Ability to participate effectively as a team member; strong decision making skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Physical Aspects Standing and/or walking for up to 4 hours consistently. Lifting up to 80 lbs. regularly and without assistance. Regular stooping and bending at the waist to load/unload material. Occasional kneeling and crawling to assist with product retrieval or loading. Pushing and pulling items of various weights and sizes multiple times daily.
