Heavy Equipment Operator (Telelift/Lull) Job Description This role involves safely operating heavy equipment and forklifts in a fast-paced, warehouse environment. You will handle material movement, support general labor and production activities, and maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area while working with various lifting and access equipment. Responsibilities Operate Telelift equipment safely and efficiently, prioritizing Telelift experience when available. Operate forklifts with a high level of accuracy and safety, drawing on at least 2 years of recent forklift operating experience. Use boom lifts and scissor lifts as needed to support material handling and warehouse operations. Assist with general labor and production tasks, including loading, unloading, and staging materials. Perform material handling duties such as moving, stacking, and organizing products and equipment throughout the warehouse. Handle heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds repetitively as part of daily tasks. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment by following established safety procedures and housekeeping standards. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines while operating equipment and performing daily tasks. Support a fast-paced, loud, and sometimes chaotic environment by staying alert, adaptable, and focused on safety. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain efficient workflow during assigned shifts. Essential Skills Telelift equipment operating experience, or experience operating similar boom lift equipment. At least 2 years of recent forklift operating experience in a warehouse or similar environment. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and excavators. Experience performing general labor and production tasks in an industrial or warehouse setting. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and materials up to 45-50 pounds repeatedly. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift. Comfort working in a loud, fast-paced, and sometimes chaotic environment while maintaining focus on safety. Strong awareness of safety practices and commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy work environment. Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines consistently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working in a large warehouse or distribution environment. Familiarity with production workflows and material handling processes. Comfort using multiple types of lifting and access equipment, including scissor lifts and boom lifts. Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with other operators and warehouse staff. Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts, including occasional Saturdays and weekdays as needed. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a climate-controlled warehouse environment that can be loud and fast paced, with activity that may feel chaotic at times. You will spend most of your shift on your feet, standing and walking while operating forklifts, Telelift equipment, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other heavy equipment. The standard shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with additional work on some Saturdays and weekdays as needed. The environment emphasizes safety and cleanliness, with established procedures to maintain a healthy and compliant workplace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Concord, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
