Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Equipment Operator to join our fast-paced distribution center team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment and warehouse machinery to ensure the efficient movement, loading, and unloading of materials. Your expertise will help maintain smooth warehouse operations, support order fulfillment, and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload shipments. Perform order picking using various equipment such as pickers and order picker machines to fulfill customer orders accurately. Manage warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials handling processes and ensuring timely shipment processing. Conduct routine equipment inspections, perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to minimize downtime. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation. Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards by adhering to proper lifting techniques and safety protocols during heavy lifting and equipment operation. Support warehouse management system (WMS) data entry for inventory tracking, order processing, and reporting purposes. Experience Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, or similar heavy machinery in a distribution or warehouse setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures. Previous experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership is a plus but not required. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshoot mechanical issues. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and shipment documentation. Demonstrated ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Pay:
$17.50 - $18.50 per hour
