Position Summary:
The Warehouse Specialist plays a key role in maintaining the efficiency, accuracy, and safety of warehouse operations. This position requires proficiency in sit-down forklift operation, RF handheld device usage, and the ability to work across all warehouse functions. The Warehouse Specialist is cross-trained to support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate sit-down forklifts to move, load, unload, and store materials. Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using forklifts and pallet jacks. Utilize RF handheld scanners to accurately receive, track, and move inventory. Perform receiving duties including unloading, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments. Complete shipping tasks including staging, labeling, and preparing outbound shipments. Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies promptly. Follow proper storage, stacking, and inventory management procedures. Assist with picking, packing, replenishment, and returns processing. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety policies. Collaborate with team members to meet customer requirements and operational goals. Support cross-functional warehouse activities as needed. Work within TSA and/or Customs-monitored facilities when required. Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse leadership.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience. Forklift certification required. Experience operating RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the workday. Strong attendance record and reliability.
Skills:
Forklift operation and equipment handling. Inventory accuracy and documentation. Team collaboration and adaptability. Safety awareness and compliance. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to learn barcode scanning and handheld technology.
PPE Requirements:
Company-provided safety vest required. Steel Toe boots.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation:
$20.00 per hour.
Benefits:
