Role Description As a Warehouse Specialist at BWT, you will play a key role in maintaining the efficiency and organization of our warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include operating sit-down forklifts, managing inventory, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. Key Responsibilities Safely operate sit-down forklifts to transport, load, unload, and stack materials or products within the warehouse facility. Maneuver forklifts in narrow aisles, tight spaces, and congested areas, adhering to all safety guidelines. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers, ensuring proper placement and securing of materials. Follow established stacking procedures to optimize warehouse space. Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections and report any maintenance needs or malfunctions to the supervisor. Maintain accurate inventory records by verifying and matching received goods against purchase orders or delivery documents, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies. Utilize forklift attachments and accessories as needed to handle specific types of materials or products. Maintain clean and organized work areas, including aisles, shelves, and storage locations. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment. Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfill customer orders, ensuring on-time delivery and satisfaction. Assist with additional warehouse tasks such as packing, unpacking boxes, and other duties as required by management. Qualifications Valid forklift operator certification. Minimum 1 year of forklift experience in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of safety regulations and forklift operation. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and a strong work ethic. Required to complete company-mandated safety training courses.
