Job Description Position Overview The Warehouse & Facilities Support Associate plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and efficient workplace. This position combines hands-on facility maintenance, inventory receiving, light warehouse construction/reorganization, and general operations support. Key Responsibilities1.
Receiving & Inventory Operations Shipment Processing: Receive and handle incoming freight from carriers and delivery trucks. Unboxing & Shelving: Unpack delivered boxes, organize products, and place them in designated shelving areas. Documentation: Take daily photos of received inventory/shelving at the end of the shift; dispose of packaging materials once confirmed. Valuables Management: Secure valuable inventory in designated areas and maintain accurate records/documentation. 2. Facility Maintenance & Cleaning General Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness across the facility, including office areas, cafeteria, restrooms, second-floor storage, and main warehouse floor. Sanitation & Upkeep: Perform floor care (vacuuming and mopping) and aggregate/dispose of scrap materials regularly. Minor Repairs & Upkeep: Perform basic facility upkeep tasks, such as replacing light bulbs during down-time. Waste Management: Monitor waste levels; coordinate with site management and waste services (e.g., Republic Services) to schedule dumpster pickups when bins are full. 3. Warehouse Organization & Light Construction Racking & Storage Setup: Disassemble, adjust, and reconfigure shelving racks (e.g., removing platforms/grids). Palletizing: Securely stack and strap wire grids and materials onto pallets using plastic strapping. Equipment Relocation: Move racks and storage setups between rooms/offices to optimize package receiving workflows. Mezzanine/Second Floor Sorting: Sort through upper-level storage spaces, clear packaging debris, and organize stored items. 4. Safety & Equipment Care Hazard Awareness: Practice high visual awareness—watch for small components, tools, and gadgets on the floor to prevent slips, trips, and damage. Gate & Access Control: Assist management in securing facility gates for incoming/outgoing personnel and vehicles. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure facility forklifts are safely operated, inspected, and plugged in for overnight charging. Ladder Safety: Follow proper safety protocols when using ladders to adjust high racks or ceiling fixtures. 5. Administrative & Timekeeping Payroll Submission: Submit accurate time tracking daily/weekly via assigned methods (e.g., photo screenshot of the sign-in sheet). Qualifications & Physical Requirements Safety First Mindset: High attention to detail and awareness of safety hazards in a busy warehouse environment. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items, bend, stretch, operate ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods. Equipment Operation: Experience operating or willingness to be trained on forklifts and basic hand tools. Communication & Tech Literacy: Ability to take/send clear photographic documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and service vendors.
