Job Description

Drives fork truck carefully and safely; reports all incidents immediately to the Shift Supervisor or Superintendent. Unloads, strips, and cleans empty material handling racks, and removes box ends as they arrive from VEKA's customers. Records empty rack numbers and MRA material on rack receipts. Delivers empty material handling racks to the production floor and moves material handling racks with VEKA products to the back lot. Responsible for loading material handling racks with scrap material and customer cut-off boxes onto trailers for recycling. Responsible for moving products and other objects as required by job assignment to various locations. Inspects condition of material handling racks and takes broken racks to maintenance for repair. Weighs customer cutoffs and production scrap. Maintains accurate clerical records. Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts. All other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Good verbal skills. Certified fork truck operator license Dependability, accountability, and responsiveness are essential. Ability to work independently and with accuracy. Ability to maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations. Good collaboration skills in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
