Job Description

  • I. Job Summary
  • Material Handlers move recyclable material through the facility, conducts material grading and evaluates for sale destination.
  • Pittman Shift
  • 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off
  • 7:00am - 7:00pm
  • 7:00pm - 7:00am
  • II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • + Moves material through the facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.

e. forklift, pallet jack, hoist, crane) as required.

+ Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.

+ Uses the computer to dispense and receive information such as part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc.

+ Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.

+ Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

+ Completes paperwork to properly document work performed.

+ Conducts material audits.

  • III. Qualifications
  • A.

Required Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or G.E.D

+ No experience Zero (0) to four (4) years previous experience (in addition to education requirements)

+ Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire customer-specific drug and/or alcohol testing may be required by certain customer-contract requirements. Such testing may include urinalysis, oral swab, drug hair follicle testing and/or alcohol testing. B. Preferred Qualifications

+ Prior experience utilizing pallet jacks

+ Prior experience utilizing forklifts

+ Prior experience working in a warehouse environment
