Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker and become a vital part of our logistics and customer service operations! You'll be the friendly face delivering essential goods to our customers while also supporting warehouse functions such as material handling, inventory management, and equipment operation. Duties Safely operate box trucks, commercial trucks, or personal vehicles for local deliveries, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring safe lifting practices at all times. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or GPS systems to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction. Provide exceptional customer service by delivering packages promptly and professionally, addressing customer inquiries courteously. Assist in warehouse operations including inventory management, moving stock within the facility, and maintaining organized storage areas. Conduct routine safety checks on delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards. Document delivery activities accurately through digital devices, including proof of delivery and route completion logs. Skills Proven warehouse experience with knowledge of material handling equipment. Valid Driver's License suitable for operating box trucks or commercial vehicles. Strong driving skills with a focus on adhering to traffic laws and DOT regulations; previous delivery driver experience highly preferred. Ability to lift heavy objects safely while following proper manual handling procedures; comfortable with heavy lifting tasks regularly. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional communication abilities. Familiarity with route driving using mobile devices or GPS technology for efficient deliveries. Experience in warehouse operations including moving items, load & unload processes, and safety protocols related to weight handling in the workplace.
