Director of Facility Services Terms of Employment:
Permanent, 12
Month Position Nature of Work:
The employee will perform work involving storage and record keeping in a storage warehouse. Tasks will require standing for long periods of time, lifting of boxes, loading and reloading of goods received to be delivered. The Employee will check deliveries to make sure they are correct and not damaged. Other duties may included picking up mail from the post office and delivering the mail to various locations. Qualifications and Licensure High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience working in a warehouse and inventory control Valid NC Driver's license, required Duties and Responsibilities Loads/unloads materials and supplies using hand trucks and forklift. Determines appropriate place for storage. Keeps the warehouse clean and organized. Delivers supplies to various locations. Picks up and delivers mail to various locations. Performs all other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Physical Requirements (if applicable) Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion, exert up to 25 pounds of force regularly, or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to stand for hours. Must be able to bend, twist, lift, stoop, reach overhead to perform assigned tasks. Special Requirements (if applicable) Working knowledge of inventory control and warehousing procedures. Ability to load and unload materials and supplies. Ability to manage an inventory system. Skill in simple mathematical computation. Ability to comprehend procedures. Must be able to adapt to a traditional warehouse environment with seasonal temperature changes.
