- Warehouse Operator, Loads and unloads van trailers using forklift.
- Samples product, picks orders/builds pallets and general housekeeping. Physical Demands
- Must be on feet/forklift 8 hours/day, less break and lunch times.
- Work is 95% indoors on cement floor. Is exposed to dust & humidity.
- Turret lift works at height up to 20 feet.
- 70% of time is spent operating a forklift.
- 15% of time spent lifting up to 55 lb bags.
- 10% of time is spent completing paperwork.
- 5% of time spent housekeeping.
- Workweek currently is 40 hours with 50 hour weeks common.
- Requirements for this position include a High School diploma or GED, prior experience in a manufacturing environment and driving a forklift, basic computer skills, excellent verbal and written communications, strong safety and math aptitude, and the ability to lift and carry up to60 lbs on a regular basis.
