Job Description

  • Job Title:
    Material Handler
  • Job Description
  • This role focuses on accurately supplying materials to production presses, managing inventory, and supporting shipping and receiving activities in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. You will learn stock names, interpret job tickets, perform basic calculations to determine material quantities, and operate material handling equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production flow.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Learn and accurately identify the names and types of stock materials used in production.
+ Read and interpret job tickets to determine the correct materials and quantities needed for each job. + Perform basic math calculations to determine how much material to pull for each press run. + Unload and load semi-trucks safely and efficiently using manual and electronic pallet jacks. + Move materials throughout the facility using manual and electronic pallet jacks in a safe and organized manner. + Assist with inventory activities, including counting, tracking, and replenishing stock as needed.
  • Essential Skills
  • + 3+ years of experience working with inventory and inventory control processes.
+ 3+ years of experience using math in a work environment to perform basic calculations. + 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. + 2+ years of hands-on mechanical experience working with tools, machines, or equipment. + Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day while performing material handling tasks. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office for basic data entry, tracking, and communication. + Ability to read and understand job tickets, work orders, and related documentation.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Creativity in organizing materials and improving material flow processes.
+ Willingness to learn and operate manual and electronic pallet jacks safely. + Interest in obtaining forklift training and certification when eligible. + Comfort working in a structured, process-driven manufacturing environment. + Strong communication skills to coordinate with production and shipping teams. + Reliability and consistency in following procedures and safety guidelines.

  • Work Environment
  • The work environment is a climate-controlled manufacturing facility designed to support comfort and consistency throughout the day.
You will work a daytime shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The role involves frequent standing, walking, and moving materials for 8-10 hours per day. You will use manual and electronic pallet jacks to move stock, and you may receive forklift training and certification if you transition to full-time employment. The dress code includes jeans, closed-toe shoes, and a clean T-shirt, reflecting a practical and safety-focused setting.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
