Warehouse Associate responsibilities include storing materials, picking orders, loading/unloading trucks, and overall ownership of the warehouse cleanliness and organization. The Warehouse Associate will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Responsibilities Maintain a Christ-centered atmosphere in and around the warehouse area at all times. Unload donations of household goods, food, and other materials from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places. Load and unload trucks- sometimes with forklift and sometimes manually. Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage. Transport materials to buildings when requested. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance. Comply with company policies and legal guidelines. Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities. Maintain effective use of the warehouse storage area by organizing floor space. Share the Gospel with clients, donors, and volunteers when opportunities arise. Skills Proven experience as forklift (including stand-up) operator. Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment. Excellent physical condition and coordination. Valid certification to operate forklifts. Experience operating a pallet jack. Valid Drivers License. High school diploma. Ability to prioritize tasks for the day Work Environment This position works in heated warehouses and outdoors in all weather conditions year-round All Open Door Mission staff have a solid, visible, relationship with Jesus Christ and are active in their local church.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30
PM Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour.
