Wood Flooring Delivery Driver, Warehouse Support & General Labor

Higgins Wood Floors is seeking an organized and hard-working individual to fill this full time position. The main focus of this position is deliveries and warehouse work, but they will also assist other divisions of our company with all aspects of wood flooring: removal of old flooring, installation and helping in our woodshop. Applicants must understand that this position requires physical labor and hand-unloading of 50-75 lbs. boxes of flooring everyday. Applicants must have a DOT med card or have had one in the past. •

HIRING BONUS

•$500 at completion of each month for first 3 months for a total of $1500!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse Deliveries Staging flooring orders in our warehouse. Interacting with customers in the retail/wholesale yard and assisting in loading of their purchases. Keeping and maintaining inventory records of the goods. Labeling and attaching inventory tags to goods and shelving and maintaining records of the same. Packaging and shipping of wood flooring orders and samples. Drive the Company's 30' Curtain Trucks in all conditions: highways, neighborhoods, home owner's driveways. Hand-unload wood flooring and supplies and carry into homes to multiple levels of the home (2nd floor, 3rd floor). Time-manage multiple stops while keeping in communication with the customers and our office. Process delivery paperwork to ensure accurate billing. Maintain the Truck and DOT Records. A CDL is not required for our trucks but you must qualify for a DOT health card and

PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRIVING RECORD SCREENING.

General Labor This position routinely helps crews in our installation and sanding divisions. Applicants do not need prior experience but should be ready to help the rest of our team when needed with tasks like the removal of existing flooring.

WOOD SHOP

Fabricating, Sanding and Finishing wood stair treads and moldings. Operating saws, planers, molders and sanders.

Maintenance:

Ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of all areas of warehouses, yard, landscaping, offices and showroom.

EXPERIENCE

Experience Driving a truck of similar size is required. Experience driving a forklift is required. Experience in similar position preferred. Experience in Construction or General Labor preffered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift and carry flooring boxes (50-75 lbs. each) into existing homes and new construction jobsites. You will unload deliveries by hand. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow staff.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

Monday through Friday, 6-10 hours a day depending on work load (start at 7 AM). Must be able to work over-time when needed as longer days will be required from time to time.
