This position involves operating heavy yard equipment used to move containers and vehicles. Experience with forklifts, heavy machinery, loaders, or yard equipment is helpful. Experience with a Combilift / Combi-SC3 Straddle Carrier is a plus, but not required — training will be provided for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment in the yard to move containers and support loading operations. Safely handle vehicles and containers according to company procedures. Inspect equipment before use and report any safety or maintenance issues. Communicate with yard managers, loaders, and terminal staff. Follow all safety rules and company operating procedures. Maintain attention to detail to prevent damage to vehicles, containers, and equipment.
Qualifications:
Experience operating forklifts, heavy machinery, loaders, yard trucks, or similar equipment preferred. Ability to work safely in a busy terminal or yard environment. Strong attention to detail and good communication skills. Must be reliable and able to follow instructions. Prior experience with container handling equipment is a plus. Willingness to learn operation of Combilift / Combi-SC3 equipment.
Pay:
$48,000.00 per year
