Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable Yard Material Handler to join our warehouse team! This position requires co-worker and customer support in all related yard activities. Maintaining the yard inventory stock, putting materials/product away, helping customers / contractors find the products/materials they purchased. •CDL is a plus for backup driving and extra compensation• Duties Move and handle inventory stock as required. Load and unload trucks with building products (lumber, doors, windows, moulding etc.) Perform physical activities including climbing, lifting, balancing, carrying, bending, walking, and handling material of 50 - 90 lbs. Operate hand pallet truck and/or forklift and other machinery. Gather and prepare customer/contractors purchased materials for pickup. Must be responsible, punctual with time and attendance. Work Schedule is Monday - Saturday with a day off in the week Available to work OT occasionally if needed. Requirements Ability to read, write and speak in English. High School Diploma/ GED preferred. Home improvement, building materials & millwork industry knowledge a plus. Ability to work independently or with a partner. Good communication skills, attention to details. Pre-employment and random drug screening Hi-Lo experience a plus Willingness to obtain a CDL a plus Benefits Union position with competitive wages, benefits and potential for tips.
