Job description Warehouse & Restoration Equipment Technician - New Jersey Position Summary SERVPRO is seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse & Restoration Equipment Technician to support daily field and warehouse operations. This role is ideal for someone with restoration industry experience who understands equipment maintenance, warehouse organization, and emergency response operations. The technician will play a critical role in ensuring crews, vehicles, and equipment are fully prepared for each workday. This includes maintaining operational readiness by cleaning, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing restoration equipment, while also assisting with dispatch coordination, inventory management, and warehouse logistics. This position ideally will be scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays (approximately 20-30 hours per week) Days can vary•. Key Responsibilities Assist with morning crew dispatch and afternoon return, ensuring teams are properly equipped and ready for scheduled jobs. Load and unload equipment, materials, and supplies into service vehicles to support daily operations. Maintain vehicle readiness, including cleanliness, organization, and reporting maintenance issues. Clean, inspect, maintain, and repair restoration equipment, including: Dehumidifiers Air scrubbers Air movers/fans HEPA vacuums and filtration equipment Diagnose equipment issues and perform minor repairs to ensure functionality. Ensure all equipment is tested, staged, and job-ready prior to deployment. Maintain equipment logs and report damaged or missing items. Track inventory levels, assist with cycle counts, and organize stored supplies. Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming deliveries and materials. Perform warehouse upkeep, including maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment. Assist with equipment staging and breakdown for upcoming and completed jobs. Provide occasional field support for restoration crews, especially during emergency response situations. Follow SERVPRO safety procedures and company standards at all times. Requirements Valid and clean driver's license (preferred). Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on operational and emergency response environment. Preferred Experience Prior experience in the restoration industry (SERVPRO or similar). Knowledge of water, fire, and mold restoration equipment and processes. Experience servicing equipment such as Phoenix, Dri-Eaz, or similar brands. Familiarity with drying equipment setup and breakdown. Warehouse and inventory management experience. Forklift experience (plus). IICRC certifications (preferred but not required).
