Description:
Morris Habitat for Humanity (d/b/a Greater Middlesex & Morris Habitat) is a non-profit organization and an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International that brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Our organization serves populations in 68 municipalities spanning across Morris, Middlesex and parts of Union and Somerset Counties. The Driver position is a full-time role that will pick up donations from residences and businesses in the Greater Morris County area, assisting customers and donors in loading and unloading merchandise. In addition, this role will assist the Retail Operations Manager and Receiving Manager with cleaning and organizing the warehouse, loading dock, and supervising volunteers as needed. This role reports to the Donations Manager and is based out of Morris Habitat for Humanity's ReStore in Randolph, New Jersey.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Drive to and from locations in the Greater Morris County area to assist with transportation of merchandise. Ensure all merchandise is unloaded at the end of the day and placed on the sales floor. All parts and pieces need to be marked/identified. Communicate and work alongside the Warehouse Manager to ensure merchandise is placed in the appropriate spot and that needed repairs are reported. Communicate with Scheduling Coordinator concerning pick-ups, truck maintenance issues, problems on the route, and delays. Train truck helpers. Assist in ReStore during downtime, cleaning and organizing retail floor, warehouse, loading dock and new merchandise.

Requirements:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience driving a 17' box truck (automatic transmission), especially in residential neighborhoods. Experience working in a retail store environment is desirable.
Qualifications and Skills:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis. Friendly and personable with strong customer service skills. Valid driver's license with a good driving record (CDL NOT required). Ability to operate a forklift (training will be provided).
