Yard Associate

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Yard Associate, you'll be an essential part of the day-to-day success of our Roseland, NJ location. You'll support our contractor customers by locating materials, staging orders, and assisting with deliveries—making sure they get what they need quickly and efficiently. You'll work closely with fellow team members in the yard to: Provide helpful, face-to-face support for customers and truck drivers Load and unload trucks with building materials using forklifts (once trained and certified) Prepare and stage orders for delivery or pickup Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment Handle materials carefully to avoid damage and minimize product loss Keep inventory stocked and in the right locations Assist in receiving and stocking inbound deliveries Follow safety procedures and operational best practices at all times No two days are the same in this role—you'll be on your feet, problem solving, and working together to help our customers keep their projects on track. Ability to lift 50-115 lbs. and safely perform physical tasks Comfortable working in all weather conditions Willingness to operate forklifts (training and certification provided) Strong attention to detail and time management Clear communication skills and a team-first mindset Basic reading and math skills for order verification and inventory tasks Previous experience with building materials or warehouse operations is a plus Experience with BisTrack or similar systems is helpful, but not required Whether you're experienced or just getting started in the building supply industry, we'll train you and provide opportunities to grow within the company.
