Job Description
Job Overview A Warehouse Specialist is responsible for overseeing our warehouse operations at Worldwide Glass Resources a leading manufacturer of vial glass. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the warehouse, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining inventory accuracy while adhering to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Prepare and package finished products for shipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Schedule and coordinate pickups with carriers to ensure timely delivery of products. Inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy against purchase orders. Process incoming materials by verifying quantity and quality and recording discrepancies. Organize and store received materials in designated locations. Update inventory management systems to reflect incoming stock. Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment usage. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. Coordinate with production and shipping teams to meet delivery schedules. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. Prepare and maintain reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and team performance. Ensure accurate documentation of all warehouse transactions, including shipping and receiving. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements High School graduate or equivalent required. 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, preferably in manufacturing or glass production. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred). Physical Demands Requires long periods of standing, some bending and lifting. Able to work in hot conditions during summer season. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs. )
