SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Automation Operator is an entry level position in our Warehouse Automation team. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, enjoy physical work and possess a varied mechanical skill set that allows him to function effectively in this diverse role. The ideal candidate would be looking to pursue a career in or further education in automation, mechanical or electrical specialties.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES
Basic operation of the ASRS system including but not limited to fixing basic errors, shimming pallets, monitoring the through-put of finished good pallets. Cleanliness and upkeep of the machine area including but not limited to sweeping, removing wood debris from system, and mopping any spillage. The ability to operate BCI (Box Control Interface) Eliminate down time in the system by fluid communication, basic troubleshooting, and correct partnership. Attentiveness to the machine and area. Re-stacking pallets as needed. The ability to make quickly and impactful decisions to maintain continuous operation. Work with ASRS Senior and Junior Controls Engineers and Mechanical Technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Works with a sense of urgency Willingness to learn Takes initiative Team player Must be comfortable working in a multi-level system Makes safety a top priority, wear proper PPE and complies with GMP policies. All other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Highschool Diploma or Equivalent Must be able to work at heights of 5 stories while wearing protective fall arrest harness Must have practical experience using basic hand tools Must follow GMP Protocol Focuses on safety of coworkers and personal safety Able to communicate well and interact with multiple disciplines Comfortable working in a warehouse environment

Manufacturing Plant, GMP and SQF requirements, working in a multi-level automated warehousing system
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to go up and down stairs, lift, pull, reach, and manipulate objects, tools, or controls. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving up to 50- lbs. as well as standing and walking during shift lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation
