DESCRIPTION
  • The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate handling, movement, storage, and tracking of materials and components within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports production operations by ensuring materials are delivered efficiently, inventory is maintained accurately, and work areas remain organized and compliant with safety standards.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • + •Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing lists•+ •Store materials in designated locations following established procedures•+ •Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production areas in a timely manner•+ •Perform inventory transactions using warehouse management or ERP systems•+ •Maintain accurate inventory counts and participate in cycle counting activities•+ •Package, label, and prepare materials for internal use or shipment•+ •Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts safely•+ •Maintain clean and organized storage and work areas (5S standards)•+ •Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and quality requirements•+ •Report discrepancies, damaged materials, or inventory shortages to leadership•+ •Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed•Essential Functions•+ •Run work center detail reports•+ •Verify counts on receipts of incoming goods and communicate with planners to adjust receipts when necessary•+ •Store materials properly in designated warehouse locations•+ •Complete transactions using computer systems or other devices•+ •Retrieve items from the warehouse, verify counts, and communicate with planners to adjust orders as needed•+ •Deliver materials to work centers and complete all required system transactions•+ •Obtain scheduled shipper sheets and work center detail reports•+ •Print customer orders and retrieve products to fulfill line items•+ •Complete required documentation and transfer goods to appropriate workstations•+ •Record all transactions in computer systems or devices•+ •Assist manufacturing teams in resolving shortages•+ •Investigate causes of shortages, retrieve required materials, and record transactions•+ •Complete daily return-to-inventory transactions, including physical put-away and system updates•+ •Transact and maintain adhesive inventory for customer and work orders•+ •Prepare and count materials for outside processing and communicate with planning and purchasing as needed•+ •Maintain stockroom organization and cleanliness to a high 6S standard•+ •Transport goods between multiple locations•+ •Conduct scheduled physical audits of stock locations•+ •Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the Inventory Supervisor and leadership team•Required Qualifications•+ •High school diploma or equivalent•+ •Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling role preferred•+ •Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems•+ •Ability to read and interpret work instructions, labels, and documentation•+ •Strong attention to detail and organizational skills•+ •Ability to work independently and as part of a team•Physical Requirements•+ •Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly•+ •Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching•+ •Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels•Preferred Skills•+ •Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification•+ •Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar)•+ •Familiarity with inventory control practices and cycle counting•Work Environment•This position operates in a manufacturing and warehouse setting that requires adherence to safety protocols, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and collaboration with cross-functional teams such as production, quality, and logistics.
  • Pay Details:
  • $18.
