In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our yard. Your proactive approach will ensure safe handling of heavy equipment and seamless loading processes. Responsibilities Assist with loading and unloading shipments using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials in designated areas and ensuring proper storage practices. Help with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials within the yard or warehouse. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on daily operations, including materials handling, order fulfillment, and equipment maintenance. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution environments; warehouse experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Construction or materials handling experience is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, a great attitude, and a willingness to learn and work as a team. Valid certifications for forklift operation or heavy equipment are desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for qualified candidates.
