Warehouse Laborer Amrex Chemical Co. - Binghamton, NY Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Overtime Available About Us Amrex Chemical Co. is a privately owned chemical distributor serving New York and Pennsylvania since 1982. We supply industrial chemicals, pool products, water treatment products, salt products, and maintenance chemicals to businesses throughout the region using our own fleet and warehouse operations. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our warehouse team in Binghamton. Position Summary The Warehouse Laborer is responsible for receiving, storing, packaging, and distributing products and materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role involves forklift operation, order preparation, loading/unloading trucks, repackaging products, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, teamwork, and staying busy throughout the day. Responsibilities Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently Move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and manual lifting Repackage chemicals into drums, pails, and gallon containers Label and mark materials accurately Follow company safety procedures and OSHA regulations Read work orders, shipping orders, and product labels Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization Assist walk-in customers with carry-outs Count and verify inventory and incoming shipments Wear required PPE and respirators when necessary Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous warehouse or forklift experience preferred Forklift certification is a plus (but not required) Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Comfortable working around chemicals and industrial materials Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Regular lifting of heavy materials Ability to lift and/or move 100+ lbs regularly Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and manual labor throughout the shift Ability to wear a respirator and required PPE (including face clean shaven) Ability to distinguish safety colors and warning labels Work Environment This position works in an industrial warehouse setting around: Forklifts and moving equipment Chemicals and industrial products Indoor and occasional outdoor conditions Wet, humid, or dusty environments Safety is a top priority at Amrex Chemical Co., and employees receive training on proper procedures and equipment use. OSHA regulations require individuals who wear tight-fitting respirators to be clean shaven in areas where the respirator seals against the face. Candidates for this position must be willing and able to maintain a clean-shaven face while employed in this role.
