Route Driver & Warehouse Associate Synergy | Southern NY & Northern NJ (Warehouse in Chester, NY) | Full-Time About Us Synergy is a small, growing clothing collection and recycling operation based in Orange County, NY. We run donation bins across the region, process what comes in, and move it out by the trailer-load. The owner is on-site and in the warehouse — this isn't a corporate operation with layers between you and the person who makes decisions. We build long-term crews and promote from inside. About the Role We're hiring one dependable driver to run our collection routes and work the warehouse floor. You'll drive our 26' box truck (no CDL required) between bin locations, handle the collected clothing, and load our 53' trailer using a forklift. During the busy season, you'll also pick up clothing from schools and various nonprofit groups in the surrounding counties on weekends. This is a hands-on role — you're not just driving, you're the one making sure product moves from the street to the buyer without a bottleneck. Schedule 40 hours per week, guaranteed. Standard hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Days flex with route and bin volume — some weeks are heavier than others, and the schedule follows the work. Seasonal overtime is required for roughly half the year, including at least one weekend day per week during that period. This is not overnight or long-haul work. Responsibilities Drive the company's 26' box truck (non-CDL) to collect from bin locations on an assigned route in alloted time. Sort and package collected clothing into capsacks Operate a forklift to load capsacks into the 53' dry van trailer Keep the warehouse organized — staging, capsack storage, general upkeep Perform basic pre-trip/post-trip truck checks and report any maintenance issues Document work and complete reports via iPad Work alongside the warehouse team; help train as the crew grows

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience driving a 26' or larger truck Reliable — on time, in uniform, sober, every shift, no exceptions At least 1 year experience using Forklift Age 21 or older (for insurance) Valid driver's license, clean/semi clean driving record (no CDL required — truck is under 26,001 lbs GVWR) Must provide a current driver abstract from the DMV prior to any job offer being extended Able to safely lift and carry bags of used clothing up to 50 lbs repeatedly through a full shift Forklift experience preferred; will certify the right candidate if not already certified Comfortable working independently on a route with minimal supervision English required, Spanish in addition a plus Must pass initial background check and drug screening Must have or qualify for a Driver Medical Card Compensation & Benefits $27.50/hour +$1/hour raise at 12 months , another at 24 months $500 bonus at your one-year mark $500 referral bonus if the person you refer stays 6 months Paid time off after 12 months Direct, hands-on training from the owner — you'll learn the full operation, not just one task Growth Opportunity Synergy is small and growing.
