Job Description

Sportsfield Specialties has an opening for a Material Handler on 2nd shift for its NY2 location who can work independently and with others as a production team member. Candidate must be reliable and flexible with the schedule. Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to: Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with the required procedures, rules, and regulations. Independently identify material requirements for jobs based on job traveler information. Utilize lift trucks (primarily CombiLift) and overhead cranes to move job materials to their proper destination in a timely, safe, and organized manner. Accurately enter data into ERP system as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Expected other duties include but not limited to operating conveyor sand blast machine and assisting in offloading material from paint carts.
Required Qualifications:
Skills:
High attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a busy environment, manage your time, and be self-motivated. Ability to complete tasks safely and efficiently in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to use and operate power tools, ladders, and warehouse equipment safely.
Experience/Education:
Previous lift truck experience required. Combi-Lift experience preferred. Proven understanding of production flow and product knowledge preferred. ERP (Epicor) experience with demonstrated ERP navigational skills a plus.

Monday -
Thursday:
2:30pm to 1:00am. The starting rate in this posting represents the minimum of the starting rate for the position. The actual rate will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the position's qualifications and internal equity. Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment. We do not sponsor employment visas.
