Warehouseman - Hauppauge, NY (On-site) Monday - Friday 20-25
Hours Weekly Part-Time, Non-Exempt About Us:
Appliance World is a leading home appliance retailer specializing in premium and luxury appliance brands, with showrooms in Huntington and Oyster Bay, New York. Our 100% employee-owned company has been proudly serving Long Island and the New York Metro area since 1992. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouseman to join our dynamic warehouse team.
Job Description:
As a Warehouse Associate at Appliance World, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of appliances within a warehouse environment. Role Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming shipments of appliances Unload trucks and check the inventory against purchase orders Sort and put away merchandise in the appropriate locations within the warehouse Pick and pack orders for shipment by using hand-held scanners Assemble BBQ Grills Operate forklifts and other machinery to move merchandise within the warehouse Keep the warehouse clean and organized Perform regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear Communicate with supervisors and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations Work on other tasks assigned by the management Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required Preferred prior experience working in a warehouse environment or operating machinery such as a forklift Required excellent organizational skills. Must be able to lift and carry up to 75-125 lbs. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Compensation & Benefits Starting Hourly/Salary Range $18.00/hr.
