Job Summary:

The warehouse worker is responsible for daily tasks such as restocking shelves, accepting incoming orders, processing and packing orders, counting inventory and ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:

Collecting merchandise from the distribution center and safely transporting materials to the shipping bay using hand jacks, power jacks, Hilo, forklifts, etc. Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return. Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse. Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notifying the supervisor. Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping. Managing all merchandise with appropriate care. Assisting with training new colleagues to carry out tasks effectively. Scanning labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge of warehouse machinery. Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 50 pounds. Ability to work independently and safely.

Training and Experience:

High School Diploma and/ or a combination of work experience. Basic math understanding. Prior experience working in a warehouse.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The job involves walking and working on slippery surfaces. Finger dexterity is needed. The position in this classification bend, stand, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Extended hours standing. Using computers, printers, fax machines and other office equipment. Lifting heavy objects from shelves or out of trucks.
