Description:

Lake Erie Tobacco Company is seeking a reliable, safety-focused General Laborer to support production operations in a fast-paced, high-speed tobacco manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, attentive to detail, and committed to following safety procedures, maintaining quality, and meeting production expectations. Key Responsibilities Accurately fill out and maintain production paperwork. Load materials to be processed by making machines. Keep work areas clean and organized. Ability to lift 60 lbs. occasionally. Safely operate powered pallet jack. Correctly mark and label finished products according to established standards. Pack out finished cases with correct amount of product. Weigh finished product and notify operators if problem arises. Load finished products on pallets. Perform any other duties assigned by Production Supervisor or Secondary Manager.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Basic mathematical, written, and verbal skills. Must be able to stand for 8 or more-hour shift. Strong safety orientation required. Have at least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment, a plus. Must be able to work in a team environment. Preferred tobacco manufacturing experience a plus.

Work Environment:

Exposure to tobacco dust and industrial warehouse conditions. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. This position may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
