Job Description

Position Purpose:
Responsible for confirming with the supervisor what parts are being ran at the lines and shears. Makes sure heat codes do not get mixed at the lines and that all boxes have tags and pieces counts on them at the lines, wheelabrators, and shears. At the wheelabrators the material handler ensures that correct parts are being put into the wheelabrators. Responsible for taking the box from the wheelabrator and places it on to the scale and fills out new tag with weight, pieces count, part, and box number. Hourly pay range: $19.15 - $22.25
Essential Functions:
Make sure parts are put away into proper areas Dumps flash bins at the end of shift Works well with supervision and co-workers Ensures line, wheelabrator, and shear boxes are changed in a timely manner Checks that heat codes do not get mixed at the lines Ensure boxes are stacked properly
Education and Training:
High school diploma or GED Forklift experience helpful
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read English and follow verbal and written work instruction. Forklift Certification and other material handling equipment as needed. Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic math skills Ability to work well with others. Ability to read work orders and packing slips. Computer literacy in order to record information. Demonstrated dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations.
Physical Demands:
Ability to twist, bend and lift repetitively. The ability to drive a forklift continuously for 8-12 hours. Ability to lift to 20lbs repetitively. Acceptable eye/hand coordination and motor skills to carry out job functions.
Environmental Conditions:
Exposure to loud noise. Exposure to hot and humid conditions. Double hearing protection and eye protection is always required in all production areas.
