Production Associate/Warehouse Associate Avon Lake, OH $17.00-$18.00 Full-Time | Monday-Friday 7:30-4p | 8 Hour Shift About Us Design Engineering, Inc. is a growing, family-owned manufacturer specializing in heat and sound control products for the automotive, Powersports, RV, military, and marine industries. Benefits 401(k) with company match Profit sharing program Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off (PTO) with an escalating plan Stable full-time schedule (Monday-Friday) Production Associate Responsibilities/Warehouse Responsibilities Assemble and package products for shipment Operate production equipment and assist on manufacturing lines Perform quality checks on finished products Pull, pack, and prepare orders for shipping Receive, scan, and stock incoming materials Organize warehouse inventory for efficient access Move materials and finished goods to designated areas Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse tasks Operate forklifts or warehouse equipment (training provided)
Order Picking:
Accurately pull items from stock locations according to customer orders or pick tickets. •
Order Verification:
Inspect and verify item numbers, lot codes, and quantities to prevent shipping discrepancies. •
Packaging and Labeling:
Securely pack items using appropriate shipping containers and affix shipping labels and documentation. •
WMS Operation:
Process shipping manifests, generate packing lists, and update statuses using a Warehouse Management System (WMS). •
Carrier Coordination:
Schedule pickups, load freight, and coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL carriers). •
Equipment Operation:
Safely utilize material handling equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. •
Inventory Control:
Report stock shortages, monitor for product damage, and support cycle counting. •
Palletizing & Wrapping:
Build, strap, and stretch-wrap pallets to ensure load stability during transit. •
Compliance & HAZMAT:
Ensure all outbound shipments meet safety regulations, including hazardous materials handling when applicable. •
Dock Management:
Keep the loading dock organized, clear of hazards, and optimized for smooth goods out flow Qualifications Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and time management Good communication skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Reliable transportation to Avon Lake, OH Ability to stand for long periods of time Work Environment This position is in a warehouse and manufacturing setting supporting production, shipping, and inventory operations.
