Material Handler/Utility with future growth

Material Handler / Utility O.E. Meyer Co. - Perrysburg, OH Full-Time | Entry Level Job Description O.E. Meyer Co., a 100% employee-owned company established in 1918, is looking to immediately add a Material Handler / Utility professional to our Perrysburg team. This is an entry-level role designed for a goal-oriented individual looking for future growth opportunities within a premier supplier of welding, propane, and medical gases. In this versatile role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including retail customer service, warehouse operations, and cylinder processing. We are looking for a teammate who can work efficiently with minimal supervision while maintaining high professional standards for our customers.

Key Responsibilities Retail & Customer Service:

Assist walk-in customers, answer phone calls, assist Outside Sales Team, and maintain merchandising and retail displays.

Warehouse & Logistics:

Safely operate forklifts and hand trucks to unload/reload transfer trucks and help drivers prepare their loads.

Cylinder Management:

Process gas and hardgoods orders, fill cylinders, and maintain appropriate stock levels.

Facility Support:

Help with the general upkeep of company facilities and coordinate ETAs with drivers and customers. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and maneuvering weights up to 100 lbs.

Technical Skills:

Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (forklift experience preferred). CDL (Preferred): A Commercial Driver's License is not required for hire, but is highly preferred. If you do not have a

CDL, O.E.

Meyer Co. will assist with the cost and training to help you obtain one.

Experience:

Prior experience in the gas, welding, or safety supply industry is a plus.
