The company serves a variety of industries across the nation, including oil and gas, fluid power, transportation, and more. Here at Solmet, we are a growing family owned & operated American company in Canton, Ohio. We have a hard-working, talented and loyal team who all work together to forge relationships with our clients, with each other and with the community we share. Our team currently has a material handling position available. This position requires forklift certification by Solmet and a continued mindset of adding value to the team.
Responsibilities:
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs on a daily / ongoing basis
  • Read paper work to identify and mark samples
  • Use tape measure to measure samples
  • Run the pallet lift/stacker to move samples, stack pallets of steel on racks, dump hoppers
  • Use overhead crane to move samples
  • Empty machine hoppers and chip pans
  • Fill machine coolant tanks
  • Sweep floors and clean machines as needed
  • Ability to use hand tools
