Job Description

Warehouse Receiving Clerks are responsible for receiving, stocking, and transferring merchandise. Incoming merchandise is counted, inspected for quality, and then stored in appropriate locations. Warehouse Receiving Clerks and the rest of the Lehman's warehouse team members provide exceptional customer service and a memorable shopping experience by ensuring that correct items are received and organized by department so that they are in excellent condition before being picked, packed, and shipped to the customer.
Receiving:
Receive and count all products arriving to the warehouse by purchase order from vendor, freight shipment, or transfer Received and counted products are then placed on the proper carts for the Replenishment Associates Check for damaged, shorted, etc. merchandise and then entering correct inventory counts into the computer Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse or other areas Mark stock items using identification tags or other labeling equipment Determine proper storage methods, identification, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities Reporting new product damage that occurs Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors
Stocking:
Count and verify products transferred to/from other locations via transfer Ensure inventory is correct by either transfer, corrections, and/or adjustments Unpack items to be stocked on shelves Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting damages Organize items in an orderly and accessible manner Pick items for transfer to other locations Assist with the order expediting process, particularly through the holiday rush Examine and organize stock rooms
Additional:
Print orders for picking/shipping Picking orders for shipment/transfers Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to comply with safety regulations Obtain and maintain a Lehman's Forklift and Picker License and follow Lehman's safety regulations Other duties as assigned
Education:
Minimum of an 8th Grade education required
Experience:
Minimum experience of 3-6 months in a warehouse environment or relevant life experience is preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Communication skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required. Organizational skills
  • Time and material sales skills. Ability to keep accurate records, data, paperwork. Ability to focus on goals to obtain a predetermined result. Computer skills
  • Working knowledge of computers preferred.
Language skills:
