Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing products in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications. This role is crucial for maintaining the aesthetic and functional integrity of hydraulic reservoirs, battery trays, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Observe & follow all safety policies and procedures in compliance with the organizational rules, while seeking continuous improvement. Responsible for his/her safety as well as that of his/her colleagues.
  • Set up, operate, or tend machines to coat or paint products of varying sizes.
Clean machines, related equipment, and work areas, using water, solvents and other cleaning aids. Turn dials, handwheels, valves, or switches to regulate conveyor speeds, machine temperature, air pressure and circulation, and the flow or spray of coatings or paints. Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections, or by using viscometers. Observe machine gauges and equipment operations to detect defects or deviations from standards and make adjustments as necessary. Wear a respirator and can perform all duties associated with wearing this equipment. Operate auxiliary machines or equipment used in coating or painting processes. Record operational data on specified forms. Fill hoppers, reservoirs, troughs, or pans with material used to coat, paint, or spray, using conveyors or pails. Set up and operate machines to paint or coat products with such materials as paint, glaze, or rustproofing materials. Attach hoses or nozzles to machines, using wrenches and pliers, and make adjustments to obtain the proper dispersion of spray. Attach and align machine parts such as rollers, guides, brushes, and blades, using hand tools. Remove materials, parts, or work pieces from painting or coating machines, using hand tools. Transfer completed items or products from machines to drying or storage areas. Hold or position spray guns to direct spray onto articles.
  • Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors.
  • Studies blueprints, work orders, or machining instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences.
  • Actively supports all Standard Technology activities, i.e. failure analysis etc.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and requirements.
  • Exercises independent judgment as needed.
  • Lift and position work pieces, manually or with hoists.

  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
  • Required to pass the initial and annual Respirator Medical Evaluation and Respirator Fit Test
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
  • Plan work and select proper tools.
  • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
  • Able to follow quality standards on a consistent basis.
  • Attentiveness, focus, strength and stamina are key traits needed for this process.
A strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
