Warehouse Associate - Carpenter Shop | Duramax Marine - Hiram, OH Join a 100% Employee-Owned company driving innovation and a recognized leader in manufacturing water-lubricated bearing technology. We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to support our shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. This role is responsible for building crates and skids utilizing templates and pre-determined measurements, cutting pieces to size, assembling boxes, safely packaging products and labeling for shipment. The successful candidate will also assist with preparing and processing shipments, receiving and inspecting incoming goods, and maintaining accurate inventory records. What The Role will
Do :
Perform carpentry work; build crates and skids using templates Build and assemble wooden boxes; determine dimensions, cut wood to length, make inserts to ensure part is not damaged Stamp, stencil and/or label boxes for shipment Package finished products into assembled crates; confirm contents are accurate, read and prioritize orders Perform other carpentry work; build shelves, cabinets, display cases, paint/varnish as needed Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments as required
What We're Looking For :
High School Diploma/GED required Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working with table saws, nail guns/staple guns, cranes and measuring tools in a manufacturing environment. Experience in various shipping, receiving and warehouse processes in a manufacturing environment preferred Ability to operate shipping and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Experience with sit-down and stand-up equipment required Strong demonstration of effective organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize to meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling and processing shipments Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
