Summary :
The Quality Technician I works under direct guidance to conduct quality audits for aftermarket finished goods, operate measuring devices and equipment, and perform mathematical calculations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same. Performs finished good product shipping audits. Performs basic inspection of materials, subassemblies, and finished assemblies. Performs inventory transactions with 100% accuracy. Re-boxes and re-labels product from customer for restocking. Moves material by forklift, motorized pallet lift, or manual pallet truck. Measures and evaluates product to defined processes and procedures. Identifies non-conforming materials for disposition. Enters information into system databases; such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Access, and Excel. Uses hand tools and/or equipment to disassemble/assemble product. Lifts heavy items and transfer to and from workstation. Communicates issues with Management in timely manner. Actively participates in quality improvement meetings. Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance. Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policies. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
Previous quality, manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse work experience.
Proficient computer skills:
typing, word processing, printing, etc. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to navigate and utilize necessary software tools and programs such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft. Ability to effectively perform measurements with calipers, height gages, Go/ No-Go gages, automated inspection equipment. Basic understanding of statistical mathematics (Mean, Standard Deviation, Range). Basic ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, ANSI 14.5 Y (GDT). Basic technical understanding of mechanical and hydraulic assemblies. Basic technical acumen and approach problem solving in a methodical way. Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated successful employment track record, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and a strong personal desire to maintain a safe working environment.
Education:
