Job Description

CMR Outdoor Living is a well-known, respected family owned and operated company, providing design/build outdoor living features to enhance residential/commercial properties. We specialize in Premium Composite Decks, Maintenance Free Pergolas and Patio Covers as well as Sunrooms and Screen Rooms. We travel all over the tri-state area. We are looking for a person who is self-motivated and willing to work outdoors. In this role, everyday will be different. Different success and different challenges. This person will assist in our warehouse control, product deliveries, general work orders, light mechanics, grounds keeping, etc. Candidate will arrive at our shop on a daily basis and take direction from the company owner. Conduct yourself in a professional work manner with coworkers and customers. Will perform all aspects of general warehouse and material control duties; this includes duties such as picking, staging and delivering of job orders.
Receiving:
Unload incoming freight, inspect items for damage, and verify that deliveries match purchase orders.
Inventory Management:
Store, label, and organize goods in designated locations, and assist with stock counts.
Order Fulfillment:
Pick, label and load customer orders accurately and securely for outbound shipping Responsible for safely transporting goods from our facility to residential job sites. Make pick-ups as necessary. Load delivery vehicles thoughtfully, ensuring weight is balanced and cargo is securely strapped to prevent damage. Unload products at delivery sites and take photos of all delivered product. Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Handle minor customer work orders with direction. Light mechanic work and cleaning on company vehicles, tools, etc. Show willingness to learn and progress in skill set growth. General grounds keeping - mowing, weed eating, mulching, etc. General warehouse duties including organization and inventory control. Continuously update product knowledge. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability. Know location of merchandise in warehouse. Demonstrate consistent solid time management. Must learn and consistently demonstrate CMR's core values. Follow the company Handbook and other policies/procedures of the company. Display motivation and self-starter attributes. Must have knowledge of equipment maintenance routines to troubleshoot minor issues promptly. Demonstrate proficient and safe usage of construction tools, hand tools and company equipment as well as company property. Perform basic clean-up of work area and keep the inside of the warehouse organized. Maintain a high awareness of safety in and around company property and warehouse. Be open to and apply constructive criticism for professional growth Maintain effective working relationship and open communication with supervisor and other co-workers Responsible to utilize on-the-job training to gain specialized skills required to successfully perform within the team Essential job duties may shift or change as required by operational needs Other tasks and duties may be assigned as company needs shift and change. Forklift certification Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to/from work.
NOTE:
Drivers License will be ran prior to hiring.
MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS.
Must know how to pull/back a 20 ft trailer General understanding of warehouse procedures Safety Focused and exhibits quality workmanship Good communication skills and a positive Attitude with a willingness to learn High school education or equivalent Basic math skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to physically perform the job include: climbing, standing, lifting, bending, kneeling, etc and includes lifting 40 lbs unassisted Anything weighing over 41 lbs must be lifted with assistance Welding knowledge is a plus Involves perform physically demanding manual work. Must work outdoors in all weather conditions. May use earplugs around loud equipment and wear gloves, safety glasses, and other protective gear. •Health Insurance is NOT offered at this time. •
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
